Prepare the receiving area
Before dispatch, request the shipment’s confirmed dimensions and weight. Use this information to arrange suitable unloading equipment and a clear receiving area. Check access restrictions with the delivery provider and identify who will be responsible for receiving the shipment.
Keep the order confirmation, packing list and supplier contact information together. If several people are involved, agree who will check the delivery and record any issue. This helps avoid missing information during a busy unloading period.
Check the delivery against the order
Once the shipment can be inspected safely, compare the machine identification and supplied items with the documents. Record visible packaging damage and any discrepancy, and contact the supplier promptly. Keep clear photographs and avoid discarding packaging before any delivery issue has been resolved.
Locate the operator manual and the instructions for the engine, controller and other supplied components. Ask for clarification if documentation is missing or does not match the machine. Do not use a similar model’s online manual as an assumed replacement.
Arrange familiarisation before work
Review the manufacturer’s setup and first-use procedure with the intended operator. Confirm required training and understand the stop controls before starting the first job. Use the documented procedure for any control or safety-function checks.
AC Machinery customers can include receiving and documentation questions when discussing an order. Preparing these details in advance helps the machine enter your maintenance routine with an identifiable configuration, organised records and a clear contact route for questions.
